WAMPServer: WAMP5 automatically installs Apache 1.3.33, PHP 5.0.2, MySQL database (4.0 or 4.1), PHPmyadmin and SQLitemanager on your computer. Windows only, not tested either!
XAMPP: XAMPP is an easy to install Apache distribution containing MySQL, PHP and Perl. Works on Linux or Windows! Not tested by me... yet!

MTCommentField Replacement: As I mentioned on my main blog, I replaced all the comment fields so that I could have them all in keeping with my templates. This is the tute I used.
XP Powertoys: Most people have probably discovered these by now, but if not... they're well worth checking out. Over 10 free utilities from Microsoft to make your life easier. TweakUI is probably the most useful, followed by the ClearType Tuner (for LCD users!)
Moving MT's CGI to PHP: Some of MT's templates are generated by CGI, which basically sucks. I've already switched my Search over to PHP templates, but my comment system still uses CGI - which breaks my main templates. Hopefully this article will be exactly what I need.
