Bad Back, Win2k3 and Letter Writing

Last night I decided to turn my mattress, so I turned it over and around, so I would be sleeping on a different part. I was hoping it would help my back out a bit, as I felt like I was laying in a dip. I did wake up feeling better, so it must've worked a bit, I'm still not 100% though :( I need to sit up more when I'm at a computer, instead of doing my usual slouching. *sigh* After so many years of it, it's hard to get used to sitting up straight. I have to keep reminding myself to sit up all the time LOL.

I found out today how many days holiday I actually have... usually I have 20 a year, but I have 3 left over from last year that I might, just might, be able to use. One of them is already spent on the statutory day at Christmas, so if Peter will let me carry over the extra days I'll have 22 instead of 19 left... which is great. The more days I can get off the better I say!

The other day I registered to go along to the Windows Server 2003 roadshow when it's down in Brighton next month. I got the acceptance letter today, and will get my pass a week before the event... which is cool. Windows Server 2k3 isn't released till the 24th of April... but it leaked around the 1st (no joke!). It's pretty easy to get your hands on, if you know where to look ;)

I had installed the RTM version on my other computer and used the latest version of Reset (5.02) to get around the activation, but as they released the CorpFiles today, I got my hands on that and reinstalled so I don't have to worry about activation at all! I probably won't be using it much, as I've still got to learn Windows 2000 Server and pass my MCP exams, but once I do, I might be able to upgrade my server to 2k3.

Tomorrow I'm going to try writing Em a letter, if I get the time. I tried to sit down and make a start on it tonight, but I'm not really in the mood for writing anything worthwhile... I can just manage to write my blog lol. Anyway... enough blabbering...

This is Alex, signing off.
